It's inherent in the definition of a "Monster Commission DJ" to be a pioneer and vanguard amongst their peers. DJ Envy's reputation and resume exemplify what Monster was looking for. CULTURAL ICON DJ Envy, a Queens, NY native had his meteoric rise in the late 90's as a Mixtape King. Envy got his start as the protege' of the world famous DJ Clue. He quickly took what he learned from his mentor and turned his opportunity into his own blazing path. Since his reputation was so esteemed Sony signed him to their affiliate label, Desert Storm Records. In 2003, he released his commercial debut album entitled The Desert Storm Mixtape: Blok Party, Vol. 1. Over the years, Envy's career has matured and flourished in to an accomplished radio personality, producer and Video Jockey. DJ Envy currently is the host of MTV2's Sucker Free Sunday. He is 1/3rd of the extremely successful radio morning show cast "The Breakfast Club" on Power 105 in NYC. He also hosts a popular Sirius XM Radio show once a week. And finally, some how Envy still finds time to spin 6-Nights a week at the Hottest NYC Clubs.
