According to his late-loving mother, his birth certificate indicates his name is Robert Darnell. However, he is recognized from coast to coast as Cabby. The fact of the matter is the world of hip-hop and beyond the facet of entertainment simply calls him Cabby- a nickname derived from his estranged father’s favorite mixed drink. Consequently, Cabby was raised by his single mother in the gang-infested East Village Projects on the Eastside of Denver, Colorado.
