Mp Racks (March 22, 1985) is an ASCAP registered songwriter, publisher, entertainer, and southern rap artist known for his stylistic music, catchy hooks, and originality. “Born in the slums” of Savannah Georgia in Frazier Holmes Project, Racks used music as an outlet to express the ups and downs of life in the streets. Racks was inspired to write and record by his oldest brother, KB, who is currently incarcerated serving a 13 year sentence for a crime he did not commit. Racks promised his brother that he would take care of their family, and go hard at making a name for himself in the music industry. Growing up, Racks took a heavy interest in southern rap artist such as Pimp C, Scarface, Master P, Biggie, and Jay Z. With a raw and gritty approach over dope tracks, Mp Racks is quickly making a name for himself among dj’s and fans. This year alone, he has had the pleasure of opening shows for 8ball & MJG, Gucci Mane, and 2Chainz.
Mp Racks is also the CEO of Yung Rich Niggas Entertainment, LLC (YRN). YRN is an independent label that focuses on artist development and music publishing and production. Racks is using YRN to not only promote himself as an artist, but also to provide an opportunity for other thriving artist to succeed as well. In 2011, Mp Racks turned to the #1 DJ in the south, Bigga Rankins, known for his ability to truly break artist and their music, to host his first official mix tape, Bricks and Bales..
